Definitely do not wax or pluck, thread or electrolysis the hair as this will compromise your treatment plan.

How often do i need to come for my course of Soprano treatment?

For the face the anagan cycle is around 4 to 8 weeks and so 6 weeks apart is perfect.

For the body the anagan cycles are longer and so 6 to 12 weeks apart. It is best to start the first treatments at 6 to 8 week intervals and then progress to leaving up to 12 weeks between treatments.

What is an anagen cycle?

The hair grows in stages or cycles called anagen catagen and telogen.

The anagen hair is active and is attached to the blood supply and growing whilst the other two stages are in various stages of shedding and resting.

Only the follicle containing an anagen hair can be effectively destroyed during a treatment.

Which is why you have a course of treatment to catch and destroy all the follicles in their turn that are currently producing hair in the anagen phase

The Soprano laser destroys the follicles containing the pigmented anagen hairs permanently.

How does it work?

The Soprano laser light gently and safely passes through the dermis allowing the heat to be absorbed into the hair root, destroying the follicles so they can no longer produce hairs.

Though the re-growth has been prevented, the laser procedure is pain free.

How is the Soprano laser so different from any other lasers or IPL treatment?

All other technology emits heat provided by some form of light using either a single pulse or multi pulse method.

This is always painful because the skin also absorbs some of the heat or energy which is then lost. The hair absorbs the rest of the energy unpredictably .This process is time consuming, painful and is less safe and more risk of burning and side effects than Soprano.

With other methods and lasers ,the darker the skin is, then the more risk of burning and scarring because melanin in the hair and also in the skin is the target for the lasers energy. Therefore using other traditional lasers or IPL presents difficulties and risks for any pigmented skin, tanned, Asian and black skins . NOT SOPRANO, Soprano treats all skin colours with ease, comfort, predictability and higher safety than ever before possible.

Soprano treats lighter finer hair more successfully than other lasers and with less risk of side effects. Older lasers can have difficulty treating lighter finer hair because the lighter and finer the hair ,then the more energy is required from the laser and this high energy or heat is also fired at the skin. This often leaves redness marks burns and a higher risk of hyper-pigmentation or hypo-pigmentation and even scarring. Other lasers and IPL have to use lower energy or fluence and so usually take longer than Soprano ie more treatments are needed and in some cases these older methods for hair removal may not work at all, the hair may come back.

Is the Soprano treatment session done in 1 session for large areas?

Yes ,because of the comfort and speed large areas such as legs back chest arms ,torso, etc etc ,can be treated in 1 session.

Typical approximate treatment times to give you an idea. Legs take 45 mins to an hour, gents back takes 20 mins, as does gents front torso, face takes 10 mins, lip and chin takes 5 to 10 mins and bikini underarm takes 15 mins.
